Fully vaccinated passengers and minors (under 18) will no longer require the mandatory insurance requested by Costa Rican authorities to visit the country.
This new measure will be in force beginning August 1, 2021.
In order to be eligible, visitors must show:

  • A document that shows passenger’s full name, date of doses, formula and lot number (either a certificate or vaccination card)
  • Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or Johnson & Johnson are the only approved vaccines.
  • Vaccines must had been applied 14 days prior visitor arrival.
