German authorities have placed the following requirements for travelers returning to the country from Costa Rica:

• Register at https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de before entering the country.
• 10-day quarantine, that may end before if you provide a negative test result after 5 days of quarantine.
• A test certificate (antigen test: max. 48hours, PCR test: max. 72 hours old on entry), proof of recovery from COVID-19 or proof of vaccination. If you are entering with a carrier, you must present the relevant certificate to the carrier before departure.
