The Times, Britain’s oldest national daily newspaper, has run the ninth edition of their Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards, where Costa Rica came up victor of the Best Emerging Destination category.
Among the 12 categories in election, our country is the only destinations in the Americas in these awards. Over 270,000 votes where casted from readers from around the world.
The Times recommends visiting Manuel Antonio National Park, Corcovado National Park, Gandoca – Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, Tortuguero National Park, Conchal Beach, and San Jose’s Amon and Escalante neighborhoods, but there are so many other destinations to enjoy across the country!
Like Monteverde, a unique blend of nature and relaxation in the top of the mountains, or Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, where you can enjoy three different types of tropical forests.
