In 1985, Swiss Travel was a pioneer in handling the first corporate event in Costa Rica. It was an event never seen before with CEOs coming in private jets and requiring high-quality services, luxury vehicles, and security everywhere.

The event was so outstanding that it marked the beginning of a new business model for tourism, which was unknown at the time, but thanks to the experience, we had accumulated handling groups of tourists and cruise passengers, it allowed us to make Costa Rica known in the Corporate Incentive market.

Over the years, the MICE business continued to grow successfully, and both government authorities and tourism entrepreneurs invested in infrastructure development. Today, Costa Rica offers better air access to major cities in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Latin America thanks to its two international terminals.

The development of large hotels and world-renowned chains, especially on the Pacific Coast and in the central region, has increased the capacity to manage from exclusive events such as gala receptions, theme parties, retreats, workshops, symposiums, to more complex events such as; seminars, meetings, incentives, and congresses.

The variety of venues adjacent to the resorts and the opening of the Costa Rica Convention Center in the central region have allowed the country to consolidate its positioning and attractiveness in the Corporate Travel Industry.
