Tamarindo has a wide selection of crafts and souvenirs, many handmade by local artists. No worries if you left your bathing suit behind, as there are plenty of stores that sell beach wear, as well as surfboards, T-shirts, sandals, jewelry and more. All along the main street of Tamarindo you will find lots and lots of boutiques and gift shops. This small town does not have chain retail stores, and the shops are small and personally owned which makes for an eclectic assortment of art and souvenirs.
