The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, we’ll head out to visit the fabulous Manuel Antonio National Park.
No trip to Costa Rica’s Central Pacific region is complete without a visit to Manuel Antonio National Park.
Although it’s the smallest national park in the country, it’s one of the most popular thanks to its stunning white-sand beaches backed by lush evergreen tropical forest.
The park is full of coastal vegetation, lagoons, mangroves, 109 species of mammals, and 184 species of birds. One of its major highlights is Punta Catedral, or Cathedral Point, a forest-covered cliff that was once an island but is now connected to the mainland by a narrow land bridge. This natural bridge separates the park’s two most popular beaches: Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio.
In Manuel Antonio, you’ll enjoy a magical blend of tropical forest, beaches, and coral reefs — all of which are home to sloths, iguanas, monkeys, and countless colorful marine creatures.
The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore and enjoy the beauty of the area at your own pace.
On the following morning, a shared transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you back to Juan Santamaría International Airport or Hotel in San José.
