This excursion offers you the possibility to experience the Real Guanacaste Culture, history and traditions in combination with a close-up wildlife encounter in the Palo Verde National Park, considered one of the most important wetlands sanctuaries of the Guanacaste region.
This tour will take you on a boat ride through the Tempisque River, bordering Palo Verde National Park, which flows into the Gulf of Nicoya, Guanacaste. Birds are the biggest attraction at Palo Verde; during the wet season, the floodwaters of this river spread out creating extensive marshes that welcome migrant birds from North and South America. You will enjoy too, life style of the “Sabanero” and delicious homemade snacks. Fruits will be serve at the Hacienda House, built in the IXX Century and recently refurbished. Feel the contact with earth and our roots, prepare your senses as we experience the whole process of producing high quality Rum from our purest sugar cane. View the extracting and cooking of the sugar cane juice in an artisanal way, until you reach the distiller where you will get the first liquors and highest purity.
