The spectacular Arenal Volcano lies in the northern highlands. It has been cataloged as one of the most iconic destinations. It offers the ideal combination of natural wonders and relaxing thermal springs.
Early morning the professional guide will be waiting for you at the lobby of your selected hotel and will transfer you in a modern air-conditioned bus.
The first part of the tour (3 hours’ drive) will be adorned with the beautiful scenery of the Guanacaste plains. Then, you will arrive at the Tilaran Mountain range, where you will have the opportunity to learn about Costa Rica efforts to become a carbon-neutral country, producing its energy with renewable resources from solar panels, Eolic parks, and hydroelectric plants.
Before lunch, you will be impressed by Arenal Lake; here, you will cross the artificial Lake (1-hour ride) while the guide provides you with exciting information about its history.
At the Arenal Dam, the tourist bus will be waiting for you to lead you to the hanging bridges park, a 618-acre reserve of primary rainforest where you will discover the beautiful secrets of the jungle; the density of its biodiversity makes this wildlife sanctuary a special place to take pictures of either the incredible views or wildlife as you walk across the bridges and paths.
During the two-hour walk, the guide will help you spot birds, mammals, reptiles, different plants, and trees, combined with the impressive views of both Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal.
For the afternoon, you will be relaxing at Hot Springs, different thermal pools which vary in size and temperature.
At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a local dinner and be transferred back to your selected hotel in Guanacaste.
