Tourism has a key role in the preservation of nature and culture, two of Costa Rica’s greatest treasures, and it is also a major element in the development of economical and socio cultural aspects of the local communities, improving and preserving the essence and identity of Costa Rica.
This model of tourism benefits the host country and creates an overall experience for the traveler, allowing them to enjoy the country and its spirit to the fullest, while learning about the cultural and rich biological inheritance of Costa Rica. Our efforts and commitment in terms of sustainability have allowed us to obtain the 4-leaf CST (Certification for Sustainable Tourism) recognition from the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) since 2006.
“The accent that we all place on Service, for the benefit of our customers, is backed by a solid Sustainability Management System to constantly improve their level of satisfaction, the prevention of pollution, and our social responsibility, wherever we operate; thus achieving economic success for our Company”.
Part of the efforts in sustainability and social responsibility of our Company focus on the erradication of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the tourism industry (ESCNNA Spanish acronym). That’s why our company has signed the code of conduct of Paniamor, local representative of The Code (ECPAT International), an entity that gives us the guidelines to increase and keep children security in our operations. The ESCNNA is a punishable crime in our country as a destination and the country of origin of the sex tourist.
