I was born and raised in Costa Rica, where an untouched environment and natural beauty surrounded me. This formed the daily background to my childhood. I ran through forests, swam in crystalline rivers, and watched birds. I simply lived, in each instant, a life full of appreciation, a life that I always wanted to share with my family, friends, and everyone who crossed my path.

Life went on and my love for my country grew with time. Today I thank God every day for having given me the good fortune to have been born and live in Costa Rica.

This love of life took me to faraway lands and at the end of the 1960s I moved to Spain, where I worked for an airline. This was my first taste of the fascinating world of tourism.

Ten years later I moved back to Costa Rica, motivated by my desire not only to enjoy the wonders of my country and people, but also with the idea of sharing our natural and cultural wealth with citizens of the entire world. This is how I arrived at Swiss Travel Service, the tour operator with a Costa Rican soul that reflects the feeling of hospitality and generosity of the Costa Rican people.

More than thirty three years later, I offer the world a solid, professional, efficient and able business that shares Costa Rica responsibly with citizens from around the globe who wish to visit our country.

My goal of sharing has been what has allowed me to create an organization that meets our clients’ real needs, and Swiss Travel Service proudly offers complete services for individual, group, incentive and cruise ship travelers, always with the slogan of responsibility and respect towards our environment and people, and framed by our incredible tropical biodiversity.

Swiss Travel Service owns the largest, most modern fleet of tourism buses in Costa Rica. The buses range from 50-passenger coaches to microbuses for individual passengers.

All have air conditioning, spacious reclining seats, DVD, and radio communication. We also have a new vehicle specially designed for physically challenged persons, with drivers trained by the National Rehabilitation Council.

Our customer service and tour sales personnel are located in the main hotels in San Jose and Guanacaste, where they can be near our clients and assist them personally.
